Wheat futures remain weak on higher supply

NEW DELHI, Jan 24: Wheat prices drifted 0.24 per cent lower to Rs 1,674 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators trimmed positions, triggered by sufficient stocks positions in spot markets on higher supplies.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in February was trading Rs 4, or 0.24 per cent, lower at Rs 1,674 per quintal with an open interest of 5,260 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by traders, driven by ample stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts in the physical markets against low demand kept wheat prices down in futures trade. (PTI)
