KISHTWAR, Feb 3: Remote Paddar-Gulabgarh area of district Kishtwar is without electricity for the last three days.
Sources said that this entire area plunged into darkness on Thursday due to damage caused to two polls during blasting by the GREF authorities, maintaining Kishtwar-Atholi-Gulabgarh (Paddar) road. After this, the power supply to the entire area was snapped.
A local resident, Kartar Singh Rathore said the matter was brought to the notice of concerned MLA, Sunil Sharma, who is also Minister and DC Kishtwar, but the power could not be restored even on the third day. He alleged that over 20,000 people of the area are facing lot of problems due to power failure while concerned authorities have failed to restore power.
