JAMMU, Nov 26: Vijaypur Cricket Club registered narrow win of 6 runs over ICC and advanced into next round of the ongoing 2nd Anti Drug Cricket Tournament at Red Rose Cricket Stadium, Arnia here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Vijaypur Cricket Club set a target of 147 runs for its opponent team in stipulated 20 overs. Abdul Malik played well, chipped in some crispy shots and scored 49 runs including four balls towards the fence and one lofty six. Shanky also contributed 37 runs including four boundaries and three sixes.
For ICC side, Sanjay scalped 2 wickets, while, Amit also claimed one wicket.
In reply, ICC tried their level best to clinch the match but failed and lost the match by just 6 runs in allotted 20 overs. Amit made 57 runs including 8 boundaries, while, Manzoor also chipped in 28 runs.
For Vijaypur Cricket Club side, Panku was the pick of the bowler with four wickets, while Tinku also scalped 2 wickets.
