800 children attend evaluation cum selection test at HBET

JAMMU, Feb 4: Harbans Bhalla Educational Trust (HBET) conducted selection and evaluation test for scholarships of over 800 children from rural areas of Jammu province.
Children receiving scholarships must undergo evaluation tests.
Today 500 existing children sat for evaluation tests and around 300 new prospective students appeared for selection tests
HBET is supporting the education of children since 1997, particularly girls from rural areas of Government schools. Besides providing Scholarships to these students, they are also offered medical assistance on need basis.  Mentorship and counseling is a regular feature throughout the year to educate and enhance their understanding of Life and Academics.
The trust adds about 60 new students every year to their existing list of beneficiaries. The new students are selected from classes 1, 2 and 3 of Govt schools. Selection is based on merit, financial need of the child and the budget of the trust.
Speaking on the occasion, Kunil Bhalla, Managing Trustee said that parents desiring their children to avail of this scholarship and associating with this program may approach the Trust located at BEE ENN Hospital Complex, Talab Tillo, Jammu.
