JAMMU, Feb 4: Jammu Runners Group (JRG) once again brought laurels to the State by winning 5 medals in au Jaipur Half Marathon held today.
A record participation of around one lakh people was witnessed in this event.
Those who won medals by completing 21 kilometers and 10 kilometers included Surinder Chowdhary, SDPO RS Pura, Chandan Gupta, Sardar Gurnam Singh, an ultra runner of J&K State, Varun Magotra and Kuljeet Kour of KC Public School.
With the inclusion of these medals, the medal tally of JRG is 112.
It is pertinent to mention here that JRG athletes under the guidance of veteran Rajesh Padha are consistently performing well in the prestigious Marathons and Half Marathons held across the country.
The Au Bank Jaipur Marathon has been growing leaps and bounds since its inception and has garnered an overwhelming backing from eminent personalities, audacious Army men and police men, resourceful corporate houses, painstaking sportspersons, devoted NGOs, besides schools and colleges.
