HC directs for creation of posts for e-court

SRINAGAR, Feb 6: High Court directed the Government to create the posts for e-court without any excuse and place the proposal with regard to daily wagers of judiciary before the court by or before next date.
Observing that the creation of e-court staff cannot wait any further as the progress of e-court system is in full swing, the Division Bench of Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey directed that the authorities must create the post by or before next date without any excuse.
Not satisfied with the response of the authorities, court further sought latest status with regard to proposal regarding daily rated workers by the Finance Department by or before next date.
For maintenance of New District Court Complex Srinagar, court directed that compliance report shall be filed by or before next date clearly indicating therein as to what has been done. “Otherwise huge district court complex will get de-shaped and damaged for want of cleanliness,” DB added.
“Whatever is required at any level same shall be done without any fail within ten days and clear report shall be filed”, DB directed.
State counsel submitted that the proposal for creation of e-court staff is pending approval of the Cabinet and with regard to daily rated and casual workers in subordinate court and High Court, information has been collected and that has been forwarded to the concerned authorities on Jan 4.
With regard to the lawyers chambers in new District Court Complex it has been  submitted that 155 lawyers chambers have been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.831.30 lakh and an amount of 130.00 lakh has been released for the project during 2017-2018.
About the construction of District Court Complex and residential quarters at Bhaderwah, construction of District Court Complex and residential quarter at Kathua, construction of District Court Complex Kulgam, construction of Court Complex at Kupwara and construction of Guest House at Srinagar and Jammu, it has been decided that these projects will be prioritized by the Law Department.
