KATHUA, Feb 10: Govern-ment Girls Higher Secondary School Mubarak Mandi defeated GHSS Nowabad in the ongoing Khelo India Let’s Play Football Tournament of Jammu Zone, here today.
In another match, SRML defeated GBHSS Muthi by 6-0. The matches are being held under the overall supervision of Ravi Kumari, ZPEO Jammu.
On the 2nd Day of Zonal Level Football Competition of Satwari zone, Govt Middle School Upper Gadi Garh beat Govt Middle School Mandal by a solitary goal (1-0).
The Football Tournament under ‘Let’s Play’ was held at Marheen Zone of Kathua under the supervision of Kailash Chander ZPEO Marheen.
The Tournament was declared open by Manmita Das Raina, Headmistress DPS Rajbagh Kathua.
77 girls participated in the tournament and vied for the top honours. GHSS Chandwah-A defeated Chandwah-B by two goals to one (2-1).
About 122 boys drawn from 8 institutions of zone Udhampur participated in the ongoing ‘Let’s Play’ Football tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Udhampur, under the overall supervision of DYSSO Udhampur and under the supervision of Santosh Kumari, ZPEO Udhampur.
