BSF to take on SSB; Punjab faces Mizoram in All India Police Football semis

JAMMU, Feb 8: Semifinals position has been cleared in the ongoing 66th BN Mullik Memorial All India Police Football Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department at various venues here.
Four quarterfinal matches were played today, wherein BSF, SSB, Punjab Police and Mizoram Police defeated their rivals convincingly to seal berth in the last four stage.
Earlier, in the first match played today, BSF defeated CISF by a solitary goal (1-0). PK Tiwari was the goal scorer in 85th minute.
In another quarterfinal, Punjab Police outplayed CRPF by two goals to nil (2-0). Both the goals were scored by Rajbir Singh in 45th and 80th minutes respectively.
In 3rd quarterfinal played today, SSB drubbed Goa Police by two goals to one (2-1). Ajit pelted both the goals for SSB in 2nd and 48th minutes, while the goal scorer for Goa Police was Abdul Khan, who netted it in 4th minute.
In the last quarterfinal match, Mizoram Police defeated Maharashtra Police by two goals to one (2-1). Lalrinchhana and Lalrinpuia scored the goals for Mizoram Police in 35th and 77th minutes respectively. Vishal Patil was the goal scorer for Maharashtra Police in 34th minute.
