SRINAGAR, Feb 9: Traffic Police in its special drive against the violations of traffic rules has seized 298 vehicles in two days here.
A Police spokesman said that 222 two wheelers including bikes and scooties, 76 vehicles which include 71 four wheelers and five three wheelers were seized for violating various norms and rules of Motor Vehicle Act and High Court orders.
“In two days, Traffic Police City Srinagar also booked 1142 number of traffic violators and collected an amount of Rs. 1,62,046 as fine from the violators,” he said. Adding, “General public is requested to abide by the traffic rules and Co-operate with traffic police in streamlining the traffic in Srinagar City.”
