J&K’s 6 players selected for Asian kickboxing C’ship

JAMMU, Nov 28: 6 players of J&K Kickboxing Association have been selected for the Asian Kickboxing Championship to be held at Pune from December 25 to December 30, 2012.
The selection trials for this Championship and the World Sport Accord to be held in Russia in 2013.
200 Kick boxers from  different parts of the country participated in the selection trials, organised by Maharashtra Kickboxing Association under the aegis of Indian Association of kickboxing Organisation (IAKO).
The selected players included Raj Singh Narania (-60 kg Low Kick), Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh (-63.5 Kg Low Kick) Arun Singh Charak (_71kg Low Kick) Rajinder Singh (-89 Semi-Contact)) and Pawan Singh (-81 Full Contact) Jagvinder Singh (-79 Semi-Contact).
The Association president, Sheikh Owais Ahmed and Sr vice president H K Lohia wished the team good luck for the Coaching Camp and the Championship at pune.
The other office bearers of the Association present during the felicitation ceremony were  Ranjeet Kalra, vice president, Deepak Handa, (VP) Vijay Saraf (VP) and Kuldeep Handoo ,general secretary.
