JAMMU, Dec 1: Delhi Public School (DPS), SMVDU, Katra, celebrated Annual Sports Day, in which students from junior wing of the school participated actively in various competitions.
On the occasion, Sunil Kumar, Commandant, 6 Battalion CRPF, was the chief guest, while, Raj Kumar Verma, Principal of the school, Vandana Sharma, Headmistress, students and faculty members were also present.
The Principal presented the welcome address and also highlighted the achievements of the students in sports and other co-curricular activities. He also congratulated the students and staff of the school for organising the annual sports day.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Kumar, Commandant, 6 Bn CRPF- Katra appreciated various sports events organized by the school, where the students took part with great enthusiasm. He also appreciated the team of teachers which did a commendable job in training the students.
Later, Sunil Kumar along with other dignitaries distributed medals among the winners of various sports events.
At the end, Vandana Sharma, Headmistress, Delhi Public School, SMVDU- Katra, presented vote of thanks.
