Govt unfair on creation of ADCs’ posts: PCC chief

JAMMU, Feb 25:  JKPCC chief GA Mir has expressed serious concern over the failure of the State Government to address the issues of agitating people in Nowshera-Sunderbani and Kalakote regarding their demand for the creation of ADCs and District status.
Reacting to the situation which has emerged following the arbitrary and pick and choose mode of creation of ADCs at few selected places in the province, without adopting any fair and transparent mechanism in this regard, he said that it is unfortunate that the people have to come on roads for their genuine demands and observe bandhs and hartals for days together to make their voice heard, seeking facilities of administrative convenience.
He lashed out at the Government for pitting the people of different areas against their respective sentiments and create wedge in the society, due to the Government’s failure to address their demands in a time bound manner, through established administrative and democratic norms. It is mainly because of lack of any co-ordination between two coalition partners on such important policy decisions which clearly reflect the policy paralysis and erratic mode of governance.
Mir appreciated the people for maintaining  calm while highlighting their bonafide claims in a peaceful democratic manner and assured full support of the party for their genuine demands.
