JAMMU, Dec 3: Challenger Cricket Club thrashed Atman Cricket Club by 5 wickets and sailed into the next round of the ongoing 2nd Anti Drug Cricket Tournament at Red Rose Cricket stadium, Arnia here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, Atman Club scored 122 runs in allotted 20 overs. Mohsin Iqbal played well and chipped in 48 runs including four boundaries and one lofty six, while, Chetan made 19 runs.
For Challenger Club side, Bansi was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 2 wickets, while Varun also claimed two wickets.
In reply, Challenger Club chased the target easily for the loss of just 5 wickets during the process. Bansi smashed some crispy shots in his 67 runs contribution with the help of eight boundaries and 2 huge sixes.
For Atman Club side, Chetan and Baljit took 2 wickets each.
The man of the match trophy was conferred to Bansi of Challenger Club for his all-round performance.
