JAMMU, Dec 3: Stadium XI registered 5 wickets victory over Star Cricket Club in the inaugural tie of the under-16 Simula Budding T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by Young Star Cricket Club and Simula Software at MA Stadium here.
Batting first, Star Cricket Club made 103 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Abhishant was the highest scorer with 37 runs, while, Gagan also made 12 runs.
For Stadium XI side, Surjan scalped 2 wickets while Vikrant and Prince took one wicket apiece.
In reply, Stadium XI chased the target in 13.2 overs for the loss of five wickets during the process. Gagit Singh made 26 runs including three balls towards the fence, while Yogesh and Vikrant Sharma chipped in 13 and 10 runs respectively.
For Star Club side, Aman was the pick of the bowler with 2 wickets, while Ramandeep scalped one wicket.
Surjan was adjudged as man of the match.
In tomorrow fixture, Junior Young Star will clash with Goswami Academy at the same venue.
