Enhancing Medical Allowance

Sir,
Apropos to the previous submissions, latest DE Dated 16th Feb, 2018, regarding  enhancing medical allowance from Rs 300/- to Rs 5000/- only in favour of Jammu and Kashmir Government employees and pensioners, it is reiterated that the demand is very much genuine in view of very high rise in the prices of medicines and very costlier medical treatment and thus, may kindly be granted while implementing Seventh Pay Commission on 1st April, 2018. Pensioners and aged members of the families of employees are suffering immensely from multiple diseases and the treatment is very expensive.
Besides the treatment of the permanent multiple diseases of pensioners and aged family members, day to day treatment of children and other members of the families falling prey to various diseases becomes unbearable and without undergoing proper medical treatment the patients  die. The present  Government is very much conscious to resolve the sufferings of Government employees and pensioners and thus, the genuine need for enhancing medical allowance from Rs 300/-  to Rs 5000/-  shall be given due consideration to concede the same.
Even an amount of Rs 5000/- only as a medical allowance is insufficient to meet up the need in case of fatal diseases, the Government is therefore working out for other facilities like health insurance,  etc. to be provide to the employees and pensioners to enable them to have the treatment in time.
In view of above submission, it is hoped that the very genuine need being demanded for enhancing the medical allowance from Rs 300/  to Rs 5000/  since a long period by the Government employees and pensioners shall be granted while implementing Seventh Pay Commission on 1st April, 2018 in-order-to mitigate their sufferings.
Yours etc….
