JAMMU, Dec 4: Mukesh of GDC Billawar, Balkar Singh of New Age Billawar, Vikas Saini of GGM Science College and Shabir Ahmed of Trikuta Degree College emerged winners in below 50 kg category of the Inter Collegiate Wrestling (Men) Tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Gymnasium hall here today.
In below 55 Kg category, Javed Ahmed of GDC Kathua and Onkar Singh of New Age Billawar secured first and second positions respectively, whereas, the third position was shared by Sher Singh of GDC Billawar and Asif Navez of GDC Rajouri.
In below 60 Kg category, Aman Gupta of MAM College and Farman Ali of GDC Kathua claimed first and second positions respectively, whereas Prem Singh of GDC Billawar and Arun Singh of GDC Udhampur shared third position.
In below 66 Kg category, Tallib Hussain of New Age Billawar and Umesh Singh of KC Law College claimed first and second positions, while the third position was shared by Zakir Hussain of GDC Hiranagar and Suraj Parkash of MAM College.
In below 74 Kg category, Mohd Hafiz of New Age Billwar and Daler Singh of MAM College secured first and second positions respectively, whereas Mohd Kabir of GDC Rajouri and Ajay Singh of GDC Billawar shared third position.
In below 84 Kg, Ashraf Ali of GDC Kathua and Darshan Kumar of MAM College claimed first and second positions respectively, while Parveen Singh of Trikuta Degree College and Aman Sharma of GGM Science College shared third position.
In below 96 Kg, Mohd Asif of MAM College and Lokesh Sharma of GDC Kathua secured first and second positions respectively, whereas, Mridul Ghai of GGM Science bagged third position.
In below 120 Kg, Zakir Hussain of MAM College, Gaurav Sharma of GDC Hiranagar and Vivek Singh of GDC Kathua claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
The matches were officiated by Jai Bharat, Sahil Sharma, Mulkh Raj Sharma and Bansi Lal Tadyal.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Prof Dhian Singh Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
