DODA, Mar 10: Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Kumar has ordered suspension of two Government employees for encroaching State land.
As per official spokesman, public of village Mohalla Shiva approached District Development Commissioner Doda regarding plantation of trees on the State land by Shahnawas, employee in Revenue Department, his brother Mohammad Saleem, teacher posted in Government Middle School Mohallah and some other persons during the intervening night of march 7 and 8.
On the direction of DDC Doda, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda Pawan Kumar has asked Tehsildar Mohallah to enquire into the matter and furnish a detailed factual report along with his comments and recommendations.
During preliminary investigation, it was found that Shanawaz and Mohammad Saleem, sons of Ghulam Mohammad, residents of Mohra Shiva of Tehsil Mohallah engaged some persons and planted trees in the state land near Shiva Dal bridge, which is under construction with the intention to encroach the State land, the official added.
“Tehsildar deputed Naib Tehsildar Mohallah, Girdawar Circle, Patwari Mohallah along with Chowkidar and Lamberdar of the area to enquire the matter and try to settle the issue on the spot”, he informed.
The official added that both the brothers were instructed to not encroach the State land, but they refused to remove the plants and made heated arguments with the public as well as with the revenue officials.
“As reported again by the people that during the intervening night of March 8 and 9, both the brothers along with some supporters fell down around 90 to 100 green trees and to avoid any law and order situation, an FIR has been lodged at Police Station Doda by Tehsildar Mohallah yesterday”, the official informed.
Keeping in view of the details submitted by Tehsildar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda Pawan Kumar on the directions of DDC Doda has ordered suspension of both the brothers.
Mohammad Hanief Malik, Additional District Development Commissioner Doda has been appointed as enquiry officer, who will complete enquiry with 15 days positively.
