Patel Cricket Club wins Exhibition T20

JAMMU, Mar 10: Patel Cricket Club registered convincing win over Police Cricket Eleven in the ‘Exhibition T20 Cricket Match’, played at Parade Cricket Ground, here today.
Jung Bahadur Singh, President Patel Club and member JKCA was the chief guest on the occasion, while Vijay Sharma, Secretary Patel Club, SSP RK Bhat and SP Headquarters Jammu were the guests of honour.
The chief guest also announced that Patel Cricket Club will organize a mega cricket tournament in the second week of April 2018 at Parade Ground Jammu. The tournament will be organized under the aegis of JKCA and the teams from whole Jammu province will be invited for participation.
Earlier, Patel Cricket Club defeated Police Eleven in an exciting contest by 4 wickets.
Batting first, Jammu Police Eleven scored 136 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Salman was the top scorer with 48 runs, while Farooq and Naresh contributed 20 and 19 runs to the total resepctively.
From Patel Club, Abhishek was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 wickets, while Aquib bagged 3 wickets. Yogesh took 2 wickets and Nityam also claimed 1 wicket.
Patel club achieved the target on the penultimate ball of the match by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Amritpal Singh top scored with 65 runs, while Samarpit Raina and Rohan Gill contributed 24 and 18 runs respectively.
From Police, Majid took 2 wickets, while Rajesh Gill, Ishtiaq and Rakesh Koul claimed 1 wicket each.
Amritpal Singh from Patel Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Saleem-ur-Rehman and Sanju.
