JAMMU, Mar 11: Former Minister and senior PCC leader Raman Bhalla today alleged that BJP has been bleeding the sentiments of the people from Jammu region as it has nothing to do with the aspirations of the people here and has forget all the promises and left them in lurch.
Addressing public gathering here today, Bhalla said that PDP-BJP has played with the sentiments of the people who voted them to power. People are not happy with their policies and the Government has proved to be a failure. He said the people have taken to the streets against Governance deficit, lack of development and failure of the government to deliver on the promises made to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir but they are least bothered and have turned high headed under the influence of power. He said disenchantment among the people has reached an unprecedented level.
Bhalla said people of Jammu will never forgive the BJP for treachery and deceit, as their pride has been bartered for few loaves of power. “The Dogras who heavily voted BJP to power in the State were shell shocked when their aspirations and wishes were bartered away by the 25 BJP MLAs to PDP for the crumbs of power. They felt humiliated, hoodwinked and betrayed by the BJP’s persistent surrenders over all Jammu centric issues”, he added.
PCC leader said that the poll promises of BJP and PDP have proved to be mere bluffs and people are fed up with the policies and sheer opportunism of two parties. Both the parties took the extreme positions on most of the emotional issues and exploited their respective constituencies to the hilt, with a false and deceptive promise to keep each other out of power, if voted in strength. The people could not see through their tactical game plan and gave BJP an unprecedented strength in Jammu while PDP gained on these slogans in Kashmir.
Bhalla alleged that BJP has already surrendered and has no courage to raise a voice in the Government for the issue. The BJP has miserably failed in raking up the issues of Jammu and is not able to implement the resolution. The people of entire Jammu region have suffered due to the lack of governance, he added.
