JAMMU, Mar 13: MIER College of Education organized a workshop on the theme “Teaching Through Constructivist Approach” for B Ed students.
Dr Jyoti Parihar, Associate Professor, Government College of Education, Jammu, was the resource person. The workshop was an initiative to invite an expert to enhance the understanding of constructivist approach of teaching as a part of the B Ed curriculum.
Five students and two faculty from nine Colleges of Education participated in the workshop namely Chanab College of Education, Sai Shyam College of Education, Ranjeet College of Education, Shivalik College of Education, JK College of Education, KC Gurukul College of Education, Bhargav College of Education, Sacred Heart College of Education, Govt. College of Education and MIER College of Education.
Dr Parihar initiated the workshop by explaining the concept of constructivism which includes the idea that knowledge is constructed by the learner based on previous knowledge and new experiences.
Certificates were given to the participants.
