JAMMU, Mar 19:Warning Government of India, Panun Kashmir an organization of exiled Pandits today alleged that under a sinister design the Jammu region is being converted into another Islamist Lebanon.
“The Jehadi forces are trying to change the demography of Jammu to gain control, PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman Dr Ajay Chrungoo told reporters here, today.
“I and Dr Agnishekhar after completing the one month tour of the various areas of Jammu region were astonished to see that under a sinister design the demography of this region is being changed to convert it another Lebanon which was predominated by Christians and later was over powered by Muslims”, said Dr Ajay Chrungoo.

He, while turning tables on Coalition Government in the State, said it is hand in glove with the forces trying to change the demography of the region and in case Central Government does not awake from deep slumber and continues to maintain silence things will go out of hand, he added.
The only solution to present turmoil in Kashmir is the division of Valley into two equal parts as per the Margdarshan resolution of 1991 by creating a separate homeland for over seven lakh Kashmiri Pandits who are the original residents of Valley, said Dr Agnishekhar.
The process for changing the demography of Jammu region has started from previous Governments under a well thought plan but it got a big boost during present coalition, alleged Dr Ajay, adding this is a grave cause of concern.
He said Delhi should not see it as a power politics issue and it should act to defeat the Jehadi tendencies in the State.
He said Government of India has squarely failed in preventing Kashmir from transforming into an Islamist controlled domain. “If the top most leaders in the ruling party in the State recognize and revere the radical Islamists like Ali Shah Geelani to be the tallest leader of Kashmir and seek opening of routes with Muslim countries as a way of bringing peace, it only signifies the stranglehold of radical Islam on the polity”, P K leaders said.
They said time is running out to realize the grim reality that enemies not only of our nation but of democracy, coexistence and equality as universal values of the modern world have entrenched themselves into our body polity. It is time to rise as a nation to put a decisive halt to the processes converting democracy and secularism as sanctuaries of Jihad.
