JAMMU, Dec 6: J&K player Prinkle Singh brought laurels to the State by winning title in under 16 category (doubles) of All India Lawn Tennis Championship Series at CLTA Chandigarh.
During the match, Prinkle of Jammu and Arushi of Chandigarh lost the set and were down by 4-1 score, while, in second set too, Prinkle and Arushi were again down by 0-2.
Opponents Bani Singh and Simaranjet Kaur of Harvest Tennis Academy, Punjab, needed only two games to clinch the match, but Prinkle Singh proved her mettle and equalized the game.
After equalizer, Prinkle and Arushi won the match by 7-5 score via tie-breaker and lifted the title trophy.
In under 12 semifinal (singles), Prinkle Singh defeated Chetna Kumari of Haryana by 6-1 and 6-3 score and sailed into the finals, which will be played tomorrow.
