JAMMU, Mar 21: A CRPF Jawan was killed today in a road mishap in Barnai area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Constable Raman Kumar (33) son of Ganesh Sharma, resident of Gharota, received serious injuries today at about 3.30 PM when a scooty bearing registration number JK02BW-7746 on which he was travelling, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Barnai.
“The blood ridden Jawan was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors”, he said, adding, the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital and will be handed over to his legal heirs tomorrow after postmortem.
He said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Domana and further investigations were on.
