SRINAGAR, Mar 22: The casual labourers of Animal Husbandry Department today protested against the delay in the release of salaries.
Scores of casual labourers assembled at Press Enclave here and raised slogans against the Government. The protesters demanded immediate release of their pending wages and accused Government of pushing their families into starvation. “We are without salaries for last 4 years. Government is not thinking about our families,” a protester said.
They said if Government failed to release the pending salaries they will intensify the protests.
