Aryans Group launches ‘Roshan’

JAMMU, Dec 6: Aryans Group of Colleges today launched Scholarship Awareness Campaign “Roshan” for J&K students.
This was stated by BS Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group, during a press conference here today.
He said that the campaign was launched to make students aware about various scholarship schemes including Ministry of Minority Affairs (MOMA) scholarship, scholarship given by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for SC/ST candidates and MHRD Scholarship.
He said that students who are not eligible for any of above Government sponsored scholarship schemes, would be enlightened about scholarship scheme available at Aryans.
Sidhu said that the Aryans scholarship scheme is especially for those students who want to take admission in professional courses like BTech, BTech (LEET), MTech, MBA, PGDM, BBA, BCA, BEd , Plus 1 (Non-Medical) and GNM, adding that scholarships will be given purely on merit-cum-means basis and it will be partially funded by Bank, partially by student and partially by the college.
Giving information about the campaign, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that there are many Central and State sponsored scholarship schemes available in India.
He said that many students despite being eligible fail to avail such beneficial schemes and many students especially from the rural areas fail to continue their higher education because of financial constraints.
Dr Kataria further said that Aryans would do every possible effort to enlighten the students about such schemes. This campaign would not be only restricted to big cities like Jammu and Srinagar but would also cover villages, he informed.
