DODA, Mar 25: With the objective of harnessing the talent of youth from far flung areas in sports activities, and to strengthen Police Public relations, Police Post Goha Marmat under the supervision of DySP Hqtrs Doda, Iftkhar Ahmed organized Wrestling (Dangal) Competition at Goha Marmat, here today.
SSP Doda, Mohammad Shabir was the chief guest on the occasion.
About 25 wrestlers from Goha Marmat and adjoining areas participated in the event.
More than 12 bouts were fought between different wrestlers.
Match for final bout was fought between Wrestler Altaaf Hussain and Pardeep Kumar of Route Marmat, which was won by Altaaf Hussain.
Huge gathering witnessed the event.
Uniforms, kits, trophies, medals along with certificates, cash prize and refreshment was distributed among the wrestlers by SSP Doda, DySP Hqrs Doda and IC PP Goha Marmat.
On the occasion, SSP Doda stressed on the importance of sports activities.
People appreciated the role of Doda Police in organizing such sports event in far flung area.
