JAMMU, Mar 27: St Xavier Convent Senior Secondary, Barnai celebrated its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution Function in the School premises, here.
Father Udhay Singh, St Paul’s Church, Residency Road was the chief guest on the occasion, while SM Gill, Ex-MLC was the guest of honour. Both the dignitaries blessed the gathering and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the students, staff and the institution.
The programme began with a prayer to invoke the blessing of the Almighty.
The students presented a variety of cultural items including English, Punjabi, Hindi songs and dances, besides Mime, Skit, Yoga, Western Dance and Lavni.
The skit based on the theme ‘Parent’ was a delight to watch.
The students also presented ‘mushaira’.
Er HR Padha, Director of the school presented annual report, highlighting the achievements of the school.
The position holders and other meritorious students in academics and extra-curricular activities were honoured by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the occasion.
They were presented mementoes, certificates and cash prize by the dignitaries present on the occasion.
The chief guest appreciated the management and teachers for excellent results of the school.
Finally, Principal of the School, Pankaj Vihans presented vote of thanks.
