RAMBAN, Mar 28: Batote police arrested a man for impregnating a minor girl.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Batote stating that her daughter has been pregnant for about eight months and named the accused as Manohar Lal Sharma alias Parveen (46), son of Prithvi Raj, a resident of Berthal, Batote.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 32/18 under Section 376 RPC was registered at Batote Police Station and after conducting medical examination, the girl was handed over to family members.
On specific information, a team from Batote Police Station conducted raids in several places and finally nabbed the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Tussif Ahmed, Additional SP Ramban Mushtaq Choudhary and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
