JAMMU, Apr 9: To promote Police-public relations, cultural exchange and exchange of ideas, five days Mini Bharat Darshan Tour Programme 2017-18, being organized by IRP 15th Battalion under Civic Action Programme (CAP) for 22 girl students of Ved Mandir, Balika Niketan, Amphalla, Jammu was flagged off from Gulshan Ground, here today.
The tour was flagged off by Danish Rana, Inspector General of Police Armed/IRP Jammu Zone.
On the occasion, IGP while interacting with the touring students advised them to avail the opportunity by taking best out of this tour as they will be visiting places of historical importance and other places of interest. He said that such occasions will provide them new experience and also gave them vast exposure to become more confident and get knowledge of the visiting places. He said it will be an educational tour for them.
During the tour, the students will visit historical places at Amritsar and New Delhi will also witness parade at Wagah Border. The girl students will also interact with prominent personalities at New Delhi. In order to increase their knowledge, they will be shown latest mode of transportation, metro-station, and planetarium.
Among others the occasion was graced by Anita Sharma, Commandant IR-15th Bn; Manjit Kour, DyCO; Manoj Pandita, AIG (Welfare) PHQ and other GOs of IR-15th Battalion.
During the function, T-shirts, trousers and other articles were also distributed among the girl students.
