JAMMU, Dec 9: Third Kargil Martyrs’ Handball Championship, district Udhampur (for men) began today at mini stadium in a simple but impressive ceremony.
Kuldeep Khajuria, SHO, Udhampur inaugurated the championship. In the inaugural match of the fixture, Government P G College Udhampur outclassed B B S V Peeth Blue Udhampur with score (19)-(9) wherein five teams are competing in a knock out fixture of the tournament. The finals will be played tomorrow at the same venue.
The championship is being organized by the Kargil Martyrs’ Handball Club, Udhampur under supervision of Manmeet Singh and Rishi Sharma, president and secretary respectively and members actively participating.
