POONCH, Apr 17: Inter Zone ‘Let’s Play’ Football under Khelo India scheme began at GHSS Boys, Sports Stadium Poonch and BHSS Mendhar, here today.
The competitions are being held under the overall supervision of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu and District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Poonch.
The students drawn from 11 zones of district Poonch participated in under-12 and under-16 age group in boys section.
Principal BHSS Poonch, Sudershan Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, who declared the tournament open.
In Under-16 boys, Poonch beat Surankote by4-0 goals, Nangali Zone drubbed Sathra Zone by 3-1 and Mandi Zone beat Bufflaiz Zone by 2-0, while in 6 to 12 years boys,
Kanuyain beat Nangali by 4-0 goals, Surankote outplayed Mandi Zone by 3-0 and Bufflaiz beat Sathra by 5-0.
