JAMMU, Apr 25: 5th Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna Memorial Hockey tournament was declared open by Sant Tejwant Singh Ji Dera, Mukhi Sant Pura Danna, Nanak Nagar at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here today.
The inaugural match was played between Lachi Pora Hockey Club, Kathua and Behram Shah Hockey Club, Anantnag, in which Lachi Pora Hockey Club defeated Behram Shah Hockey Club by five goals to one (5-1).
The match was officiated by Sumit Paul Singh, Sunil Kalsotra, Amarjeet Singh and Suhail Azeem, under the supervision of Dalbir Mehta, tournament Director.
TS Wazir, Chairman State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board Jammu and S. Virender Singh Sonu, Vice President PDP (Youth) were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Zorawar Singh Jamwal, General Secretary Press Club Jammu, S. Balvinder Singh RTI Activist, Romal Singh, MS Reen, Janak Singh, Waryam Singh, Manmohan Singh, Swarn Singh ARTO, Ravinder Singh Bitta, Balwant Singh Sarpanch and Harjinder Singh.
