JAMMU, Apr 25: Trouncing Simula Cricket Club and Stadium XI in the semifinals respectively, Kishen Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) Seniors and Juniors sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing 1st Patel Memorial T20 Cricket Invitational Cup, being played at Parade ground, here.
In Seniors, KCCC defeated Simula Cricket Club in a close contest.
Batting first, Simula scored a modest total of 130 runs in 20 overs. Jatin Wadhawan top scored with 53 runs, while Raman Dutta contributed 30 runs to the total. Ramdayal and Manik Gupta took 2 wickets each for KCCC.
In reply, KCCC managed to chase the target in a tough competition to enter finals. Bandeep Singh top scored with 46 runs, while Manik Gupta and Vimarsh Kaw contributed 24 and 23 runs to the total respectively. Bnadeep Singh was adjudged as the man of the match.
In Juniors, KCCC trounced Stadium XI to enter finals. Batting first, Stadium XI scored 135 runs. Jugjap top scored with magnificent 63 runs, while Yuvraj contributed valuable 39 runs to the total. Gurdat took 2 wickets for KCCC, while Aqib and Nityam claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, KCCC rode on a brilliant 72 runs by Ansh and unbeaten 54 by Dikshant and chased the target easily. Ansh was adjudged as the man of the match for his superb innings.
