POONCH, Apr 30: A minor boy was drowned in Mendhar river when he had gone for taking bath along with some other boys of the locality this afternoon.

Reports said 7-yerar-old, Sunny, son of Ram Krishan (mason), resident of MP, at present Mendhar, town had gone to the river site near his rented house. Some other boys of the area were also bathing there. Suddenly Sunny slipped into deep water and drowned. The boys raised alarm and people started rescue operation. The boy was later fished out from deep water (Dabar) and rushed to local hospital, where doctors declared him as dead.
