JAMMU, May 4: KV No-1 Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Kendriya Vidyalaya No-2 Akhnoor and KC Lakhanpur celebrated Annual Day Functions with great zeal and enthusiasm at different venues here today.
KV-1 Gandhi Nagar celebrated the function at Teachers Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar, here.
DR Meena, Assistant Commissioner KVS, RO Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. The function was a moment of pride and honour for all the students and staff members of the school.
Earlier, TR Choudhary, Principal KV No-1, Jammu, presented welcome address.
The programme commenced with Saraswati Vandaana, which was followed by Annual Report presented by the Principal, highlighting the achievements of the Vidyalaya.
Students presented an impressive and colourful cultural programme on the occasion.
The programme included Rainbow dance, Kathputli Dance, Bhangra and Folk Fusion.
Prizes were distributed among meritorious students by the chief guest.
The programme culminated with the vote of thanks presented by Vandana Jamwal, followed by National Anthem.
Kendriya Vidyalaya No-2, Akhnoor, celebrated its 30th Annual Function at Sangha Auditorium, today.
Brig Niren Bharti SM, Dy GOC, HQ 10 INF Division and Chairman VMC, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Among others present were the staff members, members of Vidyalaya Management Committee and parents.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp with ‘mantrocharan’ followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The Principal of the school, Didar Singh Chahal presented welcome address and
the Annual Report, highlighting the achievements of the institution.
The ebullient dancers of the school presented vibrant cultural dances of India. The programme rode to a final crescendo with Bhangra.
The Vote of thanks was presented by the senior teacher of Hindi, Jai Paul Magotra. He thanked every person involved in the success of the program.
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Lakhan-pur celebrated the Annual Day in the Army Auditorium with full enthusiasm.
Brig Anil Jain, Commander 401, Artillery Brigade, Chairman VMC was chief guest.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest in front of Sarswati Pratima.
The students presented Saraswati Vandna
and welcome song, while the Principal highlighted the achievements of the school during the session.
The students presented cultural items including Gujarati Dance and Dogri Folk Dance. The Patriotic Group Song and Punjabi folk dance’ Bhangra and Giddah’ enthralled the audience.
The chief Guest gave away the prizes to students on their excellent performance in CCA and Academics.
The senior most teacher, Anil Bharti presented vote of thanks, while the programme came to an end with National Anthem.
KV No-1 Udhampur celebrated its annual day with great pomp and show, today.
The chief guest of the day was Col JP Yadav, Col A 71 Sub Area, while VMC Col AK Prashar, Col 71 Sub Area and Nominee Chairman of KV-1, Udhampur was the guest of honour.
The programme started by the presentation of bouquets and badges to the dignitaries by the representative students followed by the lighting of the lamp along with the chanting of Vedic Mantras.
A melodious welcome song was followed by a welcome speech and presentation of Annual Report by the Principal, Rajesh Pandey.
The prizes were distributed among the budding talents of primary and secondary wing along with the teachers.
A very decorative and wonderful cultural programme started with Saraswati Vandana. The vote of thanks was given by Vikramaditya, Senior most PGT. The day came to an end by the National Anthem. Sanjay Kumar PGT Hindi, Jyotsna TGT English along with a few students namely PV Jhanvi, Lucky, Sarika, Suhana, Niharika, Bhumika, Harshita, Megha, Janvi and Aditi coordinated the stage well.
