JAMMU, May 5: The dead body of an unidentified man of age about 35-40 years was recovered today from Pounichak area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the dead body of an unknown man, who was reportedly mentally unstable, was spotted this afternoon near Tawi river bed in Khanpur area of Pounichak, by some local people.
He said that on the information of the locals, police reached the spot shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
“In this connection, inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPc have been initiated by the concerned police”, he added.
