SRINAGAR, May 9: Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant, Aijaz Ahmad Gojri, who was arrested along with three others for the killing of three civilians in Baramulla town has urged militants to shun path of violence.
Gojri  said “My name is Aijaz Ahmad Gojri son of Abdul Rehman Gojri, resident of Jamia. I request my other friends Suhaib Akhoon, Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat and Nasir Amin Drazi who are on the wrong path and have left their family to come back home. I request Nasir Amin to come back as his mother is very ill.”
He said that Army saved his life by not firing at him and instead captured him. “The day we fought with the Army in which Bilal Ahmad from Bunglabagh was also with us. We fired at Army personnel but they did not fire on us. I ran from the spot and hid in the forest but Army found me and instead of killing me, they arrested me and gave me new life”, he said.
Gojri said that Pakistan is misleading the youth in Kashmir. “We were mislead by our leaders in Pakistan about the Indian Army but it is not true. You should see yourself, meet them and talk to the Indian Army officers. This is a conspiracy wherein they are playing with our lives. It is my request to them that they should come back to their parents and join their families back”, he said.
