JAMMU, May 13: Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal today flagged off 7th Annual Holy Baadi Chandi Yatra from RS Pura to Bani belt of Kathua district.
The holy mace of the goddess Chandi will reach at Bani Temple tomorrow.
Jamwal, who was the chief guest on the ocassion, while flagging off the yatra that comprised of men, women and children said “the participation of youth in relgious activities helps them in inculcating nationalist approach as no religion preaches hate. Besides, such activities also help them in utilizing their energy in a positive manner.”
He called upon women to motivate their wards to take part in religious activities besides focusing in education as such programs also motivate them to stay away from anti-social activities like drug abuse etc.
The yatra has been organised by Pandit Pankaj Khajuria with the help of Shiv Dham Committee Kotli Shah Daula, R S Pura.
