POONCH, May 14: The people and students from Pathana Teer, Mankote in Mendhar today held protest demonstration demanding upgrdation of the local Govt High School to the Higher Secondary level.
The agitating people were raising slogans against Education Minister, concerned MLA and even the Director School Education and CEO Poonch. The people alleged that Salwah School was recommended for upgrdation by the MLA Mendhar but the old High School Pathana Teer was ignored due to political reasons.
They warned to intensify their agitation in near future. The villagers said that the matter will be strongly taken up with the new School Education Minister, Ch Zulfkar Ali.
