BHADERWAH, May 16: After clearing heavy snow, Border Roads Organization (BRO) threw open Bhaderwah-Bani-Basholi road for vehicular movement within the least possible time.
As per official spokesman, the Bhaderwah area experienced snowfall recently and the spell in the upper regions in the forest region of the area was very heavy as the same is located in the hilly high altitude region.
“The road from Basholi via Bani is an important road axis connecting the Bhaderwah town. The road sector experienced heavy snowfall in the Chatergala Pass and road was connectivity was interrupted”, he added.
He said that the road is being constructed and maintained by the 114 RCC of Project Beacon under BRO, adding that a dedicated team comprising of Satpudke TD, EE (Civ), Krishna, JE (Civil) along with well trained BRO operators and labourers had tirelessly worked round the clock and opened the road for the traffic within the least possible time under the guidance of Brigadier Vishal Aggrawal, Chief Engineer Project Beacon and Colonel Neeraj Karki, Commander, 35 Border Roads Task Force.
“Inspite of all hurdles including heavy snowfall, sub zero temperature and adverse climatic conditions, adequate measures have been taken to maintain the connectivity of the road from Bani to Bhaderwah for the safe convenience of the general public”, the spokesman informed.
