JAMMU, May 17: KC Sports Club defeated Evershine Cricket Club by 6 wickets to enter into the second round of the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA at Science College Hostel Ground, here.
The organizing committee includes Rajesh Gill (Coordinator), Rajesh Dhar, Vijay Saberwal, Vijay Sharma, Harsh Nayyar and Sachin Singh.
Earlier, batting first, Evershine Cricket Club scored 174 runs in 27.3 overs. Sahil top scored with 43 runs, while Ravinder Singh contributed 33 runs and Ravinder Kumar added 30 runs to the total. From KC Sports Club, Ritik Pandita was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 wickets, while Shumham and Devats bagged 2 wickets each. Sunil and Amit also shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target in 22.5 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Sunil was the star performer, who scored 68 runs, while Vikas (40) and Mohit (26) were the other contributors. From Evershine Cricket Club, Sunny took 2 wickets, while Bansi Lal and Ravinder Singh claimed 1 wicket each. Sunil Kumar was declared as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Saleem-Ur-Rehman and Rahul Kumar.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Bhatia Cricket Club will take on Raja Warriors Club at 9.30 am.
