JAMMU, May 19: Vishal Cricket Club defeated All Star XI by a big margin of 84 runs in the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Batting first, Vishal Cricket Club scored a huge total of 204 runs in 30 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Musaif top scored with unbeaten 79 runs off 67 balls, studded with 6 fours and 1 six, while Deepak contributed 30 runs to the total, Rakesh Koul and Rajesh Gill chipped in with 21 runs each. For All Stars XI, Akash took 3 wickets, while Asad shared 2 wickets.
In reply, All Stars XI bundled out for 120 runs in 21 overs, thus lost the match by 84 runs. Asad and Raghu contributed 27 and 22 runs to the total respectively. Shamsher Singh Manhas was the pick of the bowlers from Vishal Cricket Club, scalping 4 wickets, while Rakesh Koul took 3 important wickets and Ramandeep claimed 2 wickets. Earlier, in under-16 boys Vishal Juniors Cricket defeated Heritage School by 44 runs. Batting First Vishal Juniors scored 174 for 4 wickets with Musaif (57), Udhay Partap Singh (52) and Surya (25) runs being the main scorers. From bowling side Tushar, Devesh and Adhishwer took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Heritage School managed to score 130 runs, thus lost the match by 44 runs. Achintya (44), Shavac (26) and Devesh Puri (21) were the main scorers. From bowling side, Sachin took 3 wickets, Musaif, Agastaya and Snoop took 2 wickets each. Musaif was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance.
