DGP announces increase in welfare loan in case of terminal diseases

SRINAGAR, June 6: In a major welfare initiative the Director General of Police, Dr. S.P. Vaid today ordered enhancement of welfare loan in favour of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Personnel who are suffering from terminal diseases, or any of his/her family member is suffering of such terminal diseases.
As per order No. 2391 of 2018 issued today, for timely assistance to fight any health emergency of J&K Police Personnel, the existing provision of welfare loan from Rs.1.00 lakh out of Central Police Welfare Fund in case of life terminal disease in respect of subscriber has been enhanced upto Rs.5.00 lakh for treatment of police personnel and up to Rs.3.00 lakh in respect of the dependents of the subscriber.
The deserving claims to be preferred to PHQ J&K have to be supported with authenticated life consuming disease/ medical certificate from the competent authority and dependent certificate for the claims relating to treatment of his / her dependent, in addition to prescribed welfare loan format.
