SAMBA, Dec 18: JKFA today conducted the elections of Distt. Football Association (DFA) today at Samba under the supervision of RK Kohli treasurer JKFA accompanied by Surinder Singh Bunty, resident Secy. Jammu wing and Ramesh Kumar, direct member and former international footballer.
Varinder Singh was unanimously elected as president while Jangbir Singh and Ashwini Samyal were elected as District secretary and District treasurer unanimously.
Representatives of more than 12 Football Clubs of Samba District including their presidents and secretaries were present in the election and the election was conducted very smoothly.
After the election all the members including the new distt office bearers unanimously pledged to work unitedly for the upliftment of the football in the Samba distt.
RK Kohli assured the newly elected team for extending full support to them for the encouragement of the game.
Surinder Singh Bunty said that the JKFA is committed to the cause of [romoting the young players especially from the rural areas.
