JAMMU, June 7: Dr Mandeep Singh Azad, working as Animal Scientist in Sher-e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, has been awarded with two prestigious awards; International Achievement Award and Young Scientist Award for the year 2018.
EET CRS 7th Science & Technology Awards-18 panel conferred him the International Achievement Award for his regular international exposure . In addition to this, he was also given Young Scientist Award for his research contribution to the field of Animal Science.
He is mainly working in hilly areas of Reasi and Udhampur for promotion of livestock farming as a source of sustainable livelihood security. He along with Dr R K Arora (Associate Director Extension), has developed a special mobile app for poultry farmers which was released by Governor of Jammu and Kashmir this March.
He is continuously publishing his work in national and international journals .He has written many books related poultry and livestock farming with both international and national publishers.
