JAMMU, June 10: The dead body of a man belonging to Uttarakhand was recovered today from a hotel in Trikuta Nagar area of city outskirts.
“A man identified as Chander Mohan Joshi (65) son of Gagan Joshi, resident of Uttarakhand, was recovered this afternoon from a room of Hotel Amarnath, where he had been staying for last few days”, a police official said.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after the family members of the deceased brought out permission from DC Jammu not to conduct the postmortem, claiming that the man died due to some disease.
“However, Trikuta Nagar police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case”, he added.
