*Achit, Sikka emerge best batsman, bowler

JAMMU, June 13: Riding on magnificent batting display by Achit and Aryan, coupled with brilliant bowling show by Yogesh Sikka, Game Changer Cricket Club drubbed RDCC Mumbai by 32 runs to win the last match, however, RDCC Mumbai won three matches to claim the 5-Match Series by 3-2 at picturesque Country Cricket Stadium, Gharota, near here today.
The Series between Raju Dhabolkar Cricket Club Mumbai and Game Changer Cricket Club RS Pura, Jammu was organized by GCCC, under the supervision of Mukesh Sharma, Avinash Uttam and Gourav, with a twin motive of providing opportunity to young cricketers of Jammu to showcase their skill and helping them to exchange culture by interacting with their counterparts from Mumbai.
Former Member BCCI and Vice President, Youth National Conference, Ankush Abrol was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA; Dr Vikas Sharma, President NSF; Devinder Padha, Senior Journalist and Shashi Paul, sports promoter were the guests of honour.
The chief guest and other dignitaries distributed prizes among the teams in presence of the organizers.
Earlier, batting first, Game Changer Cricket Club scored a good total of 230 runs in the stipulated 40 overs. Achit top scored with 60 runs, while Aryan contributed 50 runs to the total. Kanaihya Wadhawan, Sachin and Sarvesh contributed 33, 20 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For RDCC Mumbai, Saish, Tadde and Mihir bagged 3 wickets each, while Moulik claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, RDCC Mumbai managed to score 198 runs in 29.3 overs, thus lost the match by 32 runs. Viraj top scored with 62 runs, while Moulik, Mayank and Saish contributed 31, 30 and 21 runs to the total respectively. For GCCC, Yogesh Sikka was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Abhinav bagged 2 wickets. Gourav, Ankush and Sourabh claimed one wicket each.
Achit was declared as the best batsman of the series, while Yogesh Sikka was adjudged as the best bowler.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh and Vijay Raina as umpires.
Vikrant Sharma, Director Country Cricket Stadium and former Ranji Trophy players Vivek Sharma and Sandeep Singh Sunny were present on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the organizers arranged a free tour of Jammu City and adjoining areas for the visiting Mumbai Club.
