Arrangement for ‘Road Safety & Two-Wheeler rally’ finalised

JAMMU, Dec 19: Top brass of the Police Department today finalized arrangements for “Road Safety and Two Wheeler Rally” to be held on December 23.
While speaking, Dilbag Singh, IGP, Jammu Zone said that the main purpose of this two-wheeler rally is to create awareness among the general masses especially youth regarding road safety.
Singh stated that the two wheeler rally will starts from 8 different locations–Hiranagar, Samba, RS Pura, Nagrota, Gharota, Akhnoor, Talab Tillo Bohri and Bishnah on Sunday morning i.e December 23 at 9 am and would culminate at MA Stadium in which people from all walks of life are welcome to take part.
At culmination point, participants would pledge to adhere traffic rules, he said, adding, that a Documentary film and photograph exhibition on fatal accidents prepared by Bhumesh Sharma will also be displayed. Speakers and Experts will also share their view on Road Safety, IGP added.
IGP instructed all SDPOs and Zonal SP’s to reach out to maximum people so that road safety becomes a movement.
Among others present were DIG Jammu-Kathua Range, DIG Traffic, DIG IRP, DIG AP, SSP Jammu, SP Samba, SP Traffic, SSP APCR, SSP Telecom, Zonal SPs, SDPOs of District  Jammu, SDPO Bari-Brahmna, Bhumesh Sharma, presidents, representatives of Industrial Associations, presidents, representatives of Taxi, Tanker and Matadoor Unions, Young bikers group,  Dare Devil Police Team and Sports officer Armed Police.
The rally is being organised by Jammu Police and Iron Hawks (Young Bikers Group) under the supervision of IGP Jammu Zone.
