JAMMU, Dec 19: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region today organized a function where Regional Incentive Awards giving ceremony was conducted at Auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, was the chief guest and Dilbag Singh Additional Director General Police, Jammu, was the guest of honour on this occasion.
The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and recitation of Sanskrit Shlokas.
Amarjeet Singh Gill, officiating Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Region, presented welcome address and highlighted the functioning and role of KVS in providing quality education not only in the country but at abroad as well.
It may be reminded that this year, 18 employees of KVS Jammu Region have been honoured with the Regional Incentive Awards. The staff members who were felicitated included Dr Chitra Mishra, Principal, Raj Kumar TGT (Maths) and Natha Ram, Sub Staff from K V No. 1, Jammu; Asha Kiran Koul, PGT (Geography), K V No. 2, Jammu; Lakhbir Singh, TGT (Maths), Sanjay Kohli TGT (Hindi), Usha Koul, PRT and Kirpal Singh from K V No. 1, Udhampur.
In his address, the chief guest appreciated Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for its contribution in promoting education in a big way with qualitative standards.
Dilbag Singh also spoke on the occasion and wished that more organizations should play their role in imparting quality education.
