REASI, Dec 19: Chief Education Officer Reasi today visited several schools and placed a Head Master, three teachers, a clerk and a peon under suspension for being unauthorisedly absent from duty.
An official spokesman said that CEO Reasi, Tarsem Lal during surprise inspection of Govt High School Serrundua, Govt Middle School Sermegha, MS Bidda and Govt Primary School Khadd, in Chinka zone found several teachers absent from duty. Mr Lal found five teachers absent in High School Serrundua including Head Master Mushtaq Ahmed. Mushtaq was absent since December 15 without any intimation to the seniors.
The other staff members found absent from duty included teachers- Madan Lal, Chuni Lal, Sanjay Kumar, Romesh Kumar (Junior Assistant) and Kunj Lal- peon.
The CEO placed all of them under suspension and with held their salary.
